Neath Constitutional Club, Orchard Place Neath Neath_Port_Talbot Wales
Neath Male Voice Choir was originally formed in 1978 as the Melincryddan Male Voice choir, the name was changed in 2000 to reflect the wider spread of choristers from the Neath area. Since the name change the choir has expanded from 40 members to the present roll call of 68. | In maintaining the traditions of Welsh male choral activity the choir has performed in many venues in the UK and abroad and with many well known artistes whilst remaining true to the heritage of amateurs singing simply for the love of the music and to bring to its audiences that shared experience which only live performances can engender. Tours have been made to Belgium, Canada, Holland, Germany, Spain, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland whilst in the UK we have performed in such varied venues as The Royal Albert Hall, the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, the De Mountfort Hall, Leicester, the Ulster Hall, Belfast, Lichfield Cathedral, York Minster, Chichester Cathedral, St. David's Hall, Cardiff Millennium Stadium, Cardiff and Bath Abbey. | Please click through to the next page for a video of Neath Male Voice Choir singing Myfanwy, and details of the venue for rehearsals. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hNtn8B3zz8g?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>| New choristers are always welcome. You don't need to be a Pavoratti or a Caruso! As long as you can sing in tune, just come along to one of the practice sessions and listen as the choir rehearses. There are no auditions to worry about and you won't have to sing on your own! The choir rehearses every Monday and Friday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, at Neath Constitutional Club, Orchard Place, Neath, (Opposite the Gwyn Hall, next to St.David's Church). Visitors are always welcome to attend our rehearsals. Please contact us for more information.
