Leete Walk is a short walk in Loggerheads Country Park, North Wales. Leete means Mill stream or water channel and the Leete was an ingenious piece of engineering, initiated in the 1600's providing channels of water to the Mills and machinery, supporting the Lead Mining Industry in the Alyn Valley. Information on and directions for the walk are available on information boards within the Country Park. Much of the walk is along the banks of the Alyn River where rare and important plant species can be found including the herb Paris. The remains of the leete itself run alongside the path on the further stretches of the walk as it reaches the Devil’s Gorge.
