Twll yn y Wal, or Hole in the Wall, is a street within the medieval walled town of Caernarfon, Gwynedd, North Wales. The picture includes one of the towers built as part of the town walls. To the left of the picture hangs the colourful sign advertising The Four Alls a popular local Inn or Public House. The sign refers to the Monarch who rules all, the soldier who fights for all, the priest who prays for all and John Bull, .. or Joe Public as we might say today, who pays for all!
