It did not bode well with Bryn Dinas Hillfort dark and barren looming over the valley. A wraith like figure screetches from the mist covered hilltop. But we take no heed and trudge onward ...although feeling we were being watched. Yes, strange inhabitants looked out from the vegetation but I ignored Brian and Bill and kept to the trail. The mist came rolling down the hills from all directions and we had to move on. The sounds from the Roman Road added to the sense of foreboding, was that the sound of Roman Legions marching through the moors? At one point we abandoned Brian but thought better of it and returned to his aid.
