The River Trothy (Welsh: Afon Troddi) is a river in Monmouthshire, South East Wales. <br><br> The river rises on Campston Hill, northeast of Abergavenny. It flows southwards until Llanvapley, where it turns east. At Monmouth the river joins the River Wye. <br><br> The Offa’s Dyke Path, a long distance trail, passes through the valley of the River Trothy at Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern, Llantilio Crossenny, and again at Llanvetherine. <br><br> The Three Castles Walk follows the route of the River Trothy for a short distance close to White Castle.
