Sea Bindweed, Plants and Trees Newborough, Anglesey - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

I found this flower on the beach at Llanddwyn Island on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales. This wild flower has many names: Sea Bindweed, Beach Morning Glory, Sea Cole, Shore Bindweed, Sea Foalfoot, Prince's-flower, Sea-bells, Sea Withywind. <br><br> Its scientific names are Calystegia soldanella and Convolvulus soldanella. <br><br> The pink and purple flowers come off a plant that has round leaves and as its name suggests has a tendency to wrap itself around driftwood and other beach plants.
