Brecon Beacons National Park Pont Nedd Fechan Powys Wales
Waterfall Country is the name given to an area located between the upper reaches of the Vale of Neath and the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales.| Caves and waterfalls abound between the villages of Pontneddfechan and Ystradfellte where the Rivers Mellte, Hepste, Pyrddin, the Sychryd, and Nedd Fechan plunge their way down steep-sided, tree-lined gorges. It is one of the most beautiful and popular parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park. | In the lower Neath valley, waterfalls can also be found at Melincourt and Aberdulais, where the Dulais Falls are a popular tourist attraction. | There are many trails around the waterfalls that are accessible from the Forestry Commission car parks including the Four Falls trail, the All Abilities trail (with disabled access), the Powder trail and the Elidir trail. | Several adventure holiday companies offer action packed activities such as gorge walking (scrambling), climbing, abseiling, kayaking, and mountain biking – all centred around Waterfall Country. | And should you be looking for holiday cottages, or hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation, in the area then you will find a wide range of accommodation on this page.
