Crewe Alexandra FC are an English football club and were formed in 1877, they take the name ‘Alexandra’ after Princess Alexandra. The team are based at the Alexandra Stadium on Gresty Road, which was originally built in 1906 and has a total capacity of 10, 153. Crewe Football club are currently competing in Football League Two and are regularly nicknamed ‘The Railwaymen’ due to the town’s historical links with the railway industry.| The club’s Home strip, bar 1892-1896, has always featured the colours red and white with the latest being a red shirt with white shorts and red socks.
