The sword is of course firmly embedded in stone. But the legend says "who so pulleth this sword of the stone is rightwise King born of England". The rumour is that most of the occupants at the farm have already had a go at lifting the weapon without success! All would-be-kings are recommended to travel to the farm without delay - Gold Rush: In 1849 it was gold in them there California Hills that had the crowds rushing in. In 1898 it was the Yukon and now it's all happening again in South Shropshire! The valleys are alive with unshaven miners struggling along tree-lined brooks to the sound of clanking of tin pans and mugs swaying on the backs of heavily-laden donkeys. Yes all this happens with the discovery of gold. But don't be fooled - remember the Leprechaun with his crock of gold! He is the cause of this stampede.
