Oxwich City of Swansea Wales
The Gower Coast Path is an area of contrast – from the
busy seaside city of Swansea to the stunning coastline of the Gower
Peninsula with its award winning golden beaches, a surfer’s paradise.

Wildlife lovers will appreciate the Gower as the area is home to 10
nature reserves, 24 Wildlife Trust reserves, 32 Sites of Special
Scientific Interest and five Special Areas of Conservation.

This section of the All Wales Path joins the Gower peninsula close to
Gowerton on the north west of the peninsula, and heads west to Burry
Holmes before turning south to the beaches of Rhossili Bay. From
Rhossili the path passes some of Wales’, and indeed the UK’s finest
beaches, Porth Eynon, Oxwich, and Three Cliffs before reaching Caswell
Bay and the ever popular Langland Bay.

Rounding the headland, the islets of Mumbles Head herald the wide sweep
of Swansea Bay and the contrasting seafront of Swansea the ‘City by the
Sea’.
