The Llyn Peninsula Coastal Path stretches from Caernarfon in the north east, alongside the Bay of Caernarfon, around the Llyn Peninsula, the finger of land known as the edge of Wales, and south west to the Bay of Cardigan.

Along the way the path passes rocky coves, wide sandy beaches, and climbs a few cliff top hillsides. |Be prepared to take some time on the north coast of the Llyn peninsula as Porth Dinllaen is so picturesque you might never want to leave. The beach at Porth Dinllaen however is just the first of many glorious beaches on the Llyn, my favourites being Porth Iago, Porth Oer (Whispering Sands) and Llanbedrog. History buffs will be spoilt for choice with three of Europe’s finest medieval castles standing alongside the path (Caernarfon, Harlech and Criccieth), an abundance of ancient churches, prehistoric monuments and picturesque villages.
