The North Wales Path runs from Prestatyn (Denbighshire)in the east to Bangor (Gwynedd)in the west. There is a route-specific waymark logo to aid walkers. The route is about 60 miles in total length, although it is easy to plan a shorter walk utilising part of the route.| The North Wales Path clings close to the coastline for much of the way, but with significant stretches that take in the hilly hinterland. Following the generally level sections between Prestatyn and Llandudno, the more challenging western section ascends the foothills of the Carneddau range at Conwy Mountain. The path enters the moorlands above Penmaenmawr, passing Tal-y-Fan and Foel Fras, before reaching Aber Falls, with fine views toward Anglesey and inland towards Snowdonia. From Aber the walk links up with the Anglesey Coastal Path and the Menai and Llyn Peninsula Path, which as from 2012 all form part of the Wales Coastal Path.
