St Issell's Church, Churches and Chapels Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

St. Issell's Vicarage Saundersfoot Pembrokeshire Wales
St. Issell's is an ancient parish, older than the village. The name dates back to the early Christian period when Welsh saints were evangelising in the area. The church, which bore the name of Usyllt, presumably on or near the site of the present church, was important in the early period of Welsh Christianity. It was the focus of a number of routes, a road from the present sea front, to St. Issell's, was known as the Church Way.
