A485 Llanilar Ceredigion Wales
Saint Hilary's Church stands in the centre of the village of Llanilar, Ceredigion, West Wales. The Church is an historically important building and parts of the church date back to the 13th Century. St Hilary’s has a crenellated square tower, a chancel, nave and porch, and the oak roof was built in 1431. In the porch is a hollowed stone font for holding holy water, and above the door an ancient beam with carved heads and animals. | A large standing stone from Strata Florida abbey also stands in the doorway of the church.|
In 2009 the church received a grant of £42,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund and a large restoration project was undertaken.
