St Edwards Church stands in Church Street in the historic town of Knighton in Powys on the English / Welsh border. St Edward's Church has a much restored 14th-century west tower, but the rest of the building was rebuilt in 1752 and again in 1875-7. The regular rectilinear shape of the churchyard seems to offer confirmatory evidence of its late foundation. The stonework of St Edward's Church is mostly Victorian but there are remnants of the Georgian aisles in the west walls. The tower is of medieval origin and the masonry in the lower stages together with its east arch is 14th Century, with the highest stages added in the mid-18th Century.
