Family Day out Climbing in North Wales in
Had a really enjoyable day out out with friends and family climbing in North Wales. It's the first time my wife has been out climbing with me and the kids, but it was really good fun and the kids really enjoyed themselves.| Having agreed to meet up with a friend who has enough kit to supply a small climbing shop we headed up to Castle Inn Crag in Llysfaen, which is a fine south facing crag, which now after recent development has loads of low and mid grade routes that are perfect for kids or novices to have a go at Top Roping. For detailed route grades and descriptions the best guide to purchase is the A55 Sports Climbs.| I'm not sure if it's because of the new guide or the changeable weather at the moment but the Crag was really busy, with a huge variety of climbers and family groups and there was a really friendly atmosphere there today, which is great to see.
