Bracelet Bay is located between Mumbles Headland and Langland on the Gower peninsula, Swansea, South Wales. Just round the corner from the flat beaches of Swansea Bay it is a small rocky bay backed by a bank of pebbles. There are rock pools to explore but the sand is exposed only as the tide recedes. There are strong rip currents between the two islands of Mumbles Head and thus swimming is not advised. Lifeguards are on patrol during peak summer months but those Severn estuary currents are deadly! It's a great place to visit as the views of Mumbles head and the lighthouse are not to be missed but stay on the beach or visit the smashing cafe-restaurant-bar built on the rocky headland. I only visited the place the once but it seems to have it's own little community of regular customers and there is a wide selection of tastes catered for. And if my memory serves me well it is run by the Taffia, ... South Wales families of Italian descent, so the ice cream will be the best! Parking is easy with a large car park above the beach, below Tutt Hill where the Coastguard lookout is stationed.
