Benllech Anglesey Wales
Benllech Beach is on the east coast of Anglesey, North Wales. It is a beautiful beach with golden sands, rock pools and a small stream running down to the sea. Children particularly like it for catching crabs,... well my grand children did! In the summer holidays it is a very busy little beach, but in a nice quiet sort of way. On the day we visited there were organised beach games for the children, but the beach is wide enough to find a quiet spot if you so wish. The beach is popular for windsurfing, surfing, canoeing, sailing and just plain swimming and sunbathing. There are pleasant walks in either direction from Benllech Beach. There are restrictions on dogs but the Beach Rangers have a difficult job enforcing the rules. Facilities include toilets with good disabled facilities and access for young families, and there are a variety of shops and cafes close to the beach. Parking is available in the Car Park on the promenade.
