Cardigan Bay Clarach Ceredigion Wales
Clarach South beach is in Ceredigion, on Cardigan Bay, West Wales. The beach is situated slightly north of Aberystwyth and faces the Irish Sea. Mountainous terrain backs onto the beach and the Afon Clarach (Clarach River) is a small river that flows into Cardigan Bay after passing through agricultural and forested landscape and eventually holiday development before discharging into the bay. The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle and is recommended for coastal walks, which include a nature trail from Clarach Bay to Aberystwyth with views across the whole of Cardigan Bay. Clarach itself is a popular holiday destination and the beach provides activities such as swimming, surfing, windsurfing, canoeing and bowling for the holiday makers.
