Tanybwlch Beach, Beaches Aberystwyth, Ceredigion - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

Aberystwyth Ceredigion Wales
Tanybwlch Beach faces the Irish Sea, it lies to the south of Aberystwyth and is located near the village of Panparcau, Ceredigion. Tan y Bwlch itself has two main attractions, the old hill fort and the sand and shingle beach. The Iron Age hill fort is the largest in Ceredigion and was built in 400BC. There are numerous coastal walks around the area, with some tougher walks and fantastic views along the coastline. Tanybwlch beach is hidden round the corner from Aberystwyth Harbour and is a quieter more isolated location but seaside entertainment, such as boat trips, children’s rides and a bouncy castle are on offer at Aberystwyth. The nature reserve at Tanybwlch is a stone’s throw away from Aberystwyth town and combines the ancient hill fort with excellent views of Cardigan Bay.
