Cwmtydu Beach, Beaches New Quay, Ceredigion - Wales where to go, what to see and where to stay in Wales

New Quay Ceredigion Wales
Cwmtydu beach is near the popular holiday resort of New Quay, Ceredigion. It is situated to the south of New Quay and to the north of Llangranog. The beach is in Cardigan Bay and faces the Irish Sea. This secluded little bay was once renowned for smugglers and pirates with its many hidden little caves and coves. Mainly a shingle beach, this is a very enclosed and rugged cove with a National Trust path coastal walk overlooking Cardigan Bay. Porpoises and basking seals are often spotted and during the Autumn season Atlantic Grey Seals come in shore to give birth to their pups. On the seafront stands a limekiln that has recently been restored. Boating is the main activity at this beach, although there is an equestrian centre nearby. Facilities at the beach include a campsite, toilets and also disabled toilets.
