Cardigan Bay New Quay Ceredigion Wales
New Quay North beach lies in Cardigan Bay, Ceredigion. The beach is comprised of sand and rock and is located to the north west of New Quay harbour in the popular seaside resort of New Quay. Facing the Irish Sea, many who come to New Quay are curious to see Dolphins, as this is one of the best locations in Britain to do so. The Dolphins are best observed when the sea is calm and are frequently seen from shore and also on regular boat trips from New Quay. As well as coastal walks, sailing and boating are frequent activities at the beach. Formerly a shipbuilding centre, this area is one of Wales’ most popular sailing centres. Excursions, including seal watching, are organised around Cardigan Bay’s special area of conservation. Facilities at the beach consist of cafes and eateries, various shops, a campsite, toilets and disabled toilets.
