Haven Point Marloes Pembrokeshire Wales
Martin’s Haven in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire is a small pebble beach with a steep shingle bank. The beach is often used as the launching point for boats heading to Skomer Island Nature Reserve. This beach has been awarded the highest grade of bathing water (2010) and also the green coast and seaside award (2010). The walk from the car park down to the beach is a steep one but there is always plenty of activity at the beach as it is a favourite with divers heading to the Skomer Marine Nature Reserve. Other activities at the beach include swimming, boat trips and walks along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail. Three circular walks surround Martin’s Haven, they lead to Marloes and St Brides (National Park). Facilities on shore include Lockley Lodge, situated above the beach, which is an interpretation centre for the Wildlife Trust for west Wales. Other facilities are to be found in the nearby Marloes village.
