Conwy Valley Dolgarrog Conwy_County Wales
A brand new attraction is due to open in the beautiful Conwy Valley in 2015. Surf Snowdonia is an exciting new surfing and water sports park to be built in the village of Dolgarrog North Wales. The park will be set in the foothills of the Snowdonia National Park, and Surf Snowdonia will be a showcase for the World’s first publicly accessible artificial surfing lagoon. | This revolutionary concept, generates powerful surfing waves, of varying heights up to 6 feet, in a 300m long lagoon. It is ideal for all surfers, from beginners to professional surfers, and will be a fantastic family destination. | Complementing the surfing lagoon will be a range of other exciting attractions, including a 50-metre long café, restaurant and bar positioned immediately alongside the surfing lagoon, whose glass front will allow visitors to enjoy food and drink whilst watching the surfing action close-up. | The catering facilities will be available to visitors who wish merely to stop off for a drink and a snack, or perhaps a full meal, but who don’t want to get wet. | The surfing lake is planned to open by the summer of 2015. | Snowdonia and North Wales are fast becoming a great centre for adrenalin freaks – what with the new beach and Watersports Centre at Colwyn Bay; the longest Zip Wire runs in Europe in both Bethesda, and Blaenau Ffestiniog; and now year round surfing at the Snowdonia Surf Centre. | If you want to stay close to the surfing action, we can offer self-catering accommodation in our boutique style cottage accommodation overlooking the Surf Park in the village of Dolgarrog.
