Bonvilston lies 8.4 miles west of Cardiff in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. It is situated on the A48 road, which runs from the A40 at Highnam in Gloucestershire to the A40 in Carmarthen.
St Mary’s church dates back to the late 19th century, though the site dates back to earlier times. The church tower contains an impressive late medieval Sanctus bell. Just outside the village is a large golf club, and the Cardiff International Airport is close by.
