Kidwelly stands on the A484 between Ferryside and Burry Port in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales. The Gwendraeth Fach river flows through the town before spilling into Camarthen Bay at the confluence of the Three Rivers.
Kidwelly has its own castle, an ancient monument built by the Normans during the 12th century. The Kidwelly Industrial Museum is also situated 3km north east near Mynyddygarreg.
