New Cross is a village in Ceredigion, Wales, which sits on the B4340 road, between Aberystwyth to the north west and Pontrhydfendigaid to the south east.
The village stands on raised ground between the Rheidol Valley to the north and the Ystwyth Valley to the south.
The village has a garage and petrol station, Hillcrest Garage, and a pub and restaurant, Tafarn y Gors (New Cross Inn - as of 2009).
It is a one mile walk to the valley of the Ystwyth from the village and some five miles to the coast of Cardigan Bay.
The men of the area who fell during both World Wars are commemorated on two plaques which are located in the Chapelyard of Capel Horeb, Y Gors.
