Llanybydder is a small market town in Carmarthenshire County, West Wales. Llanybydder lies south west of Lampeter (Llanbedr Pont Steffan), north east of Llanfihangel-ar-arth, south of Alltyblaca and south east of Llanwenog.
The small town lies on the banks of the river Teifi, which forms the boundary between the counties of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. The Teifi is renowned as one of the best rivers in Wales for salmon fishing.
Mynydd Pencarreg (415m) is just over 5km to the east of Llanybydder and Mynydd Llanybyther (408m) to the south west.
Llanybydder is famous for its monthly horse fairs, which attract dealers from both the UK and Ireland.
