Bow Street is a village in Ceredigion some 3.5 miles north-east of Aberystwyth, stretching along the A487 Aberystwyth to Machynlleth Road.
There are trails criss-crossing the rural landscape including a linear trail linking up with an on road cycle trail leading to the seaside resort of Borth and the fabulous All Wales Coastal Path.
Close by are several ancient sites including the sites of Castell Gwallter, Caer Pwll Glas (Llandre) and Hen Gaer.
The Cambrian Railway Line cuts through Bow Street en route from Machynlleth to Aberystwyth but unfortunately since the Beeching Axe the train no longer stops at Bow Street.
The Welsh Black Inn stands alongside the A487 in the heart of the village and offers good food, beer and accommodation.
