Llanellen is a village on the A4042 road, in Monmouthshire, South Wales. The village sits on the banks of the Usk lying between the river and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. It lies north west of Llanover, south east of Abergavenny, north east of Blaenavon.
The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal winds its way through 35 miles of peaceful countryside all the way from Brecon to Cwmbran. Its pretty scenery and lightly-locked route make it understandably popular with holidaymakers.
