Llanbadarn-Fynydd sits between Newtown and Llandrindod Wells in Powys, Mid Wales. The river Ithon flows through the town before joining the river Wye just south of Newbridge on Wye. The Gwenllan Brook also joins the river Ithon at Llanbadarn-Fynydd. The Church of St Padarn can be found in the village. Although the original structure was rebuilt, an east window from the first building remains, as well as fragments of its rood screen.
Many travellers pass by Llanbadarn-Fynydd on the A483 main road from Newtown to Llandrindod Wells, 14.3 miles south of Llanbadarn-Fynydd. Walkers too find their way to Llanbadarn-Fynydd as the Glyndwr's Way National Trail passes through the village as it winds its way from Knighton to Llanidloes. ....
