Surrounded by the Elan Valley reservoirs, Rhayader is the perfect place to visit. It can be found in the county of Powys, Mid Wales. Rhayader translates from ‘Rhaeadr’ in Welsh, simply meaning ‘waterfall’, taking its name from a beautiful waterfall which was located in Rhayader until the construction of the stone bridge in 1780.
