Bodedern is a village in the north west of Anglesey North Wales. The population of Bodedern is just over a thousand and the nearest large town is Holyhead. Close by is Llyn Llywenan, a home for wild geese and ducks with the Neolithic Burial Chamber Presaddfed in the fields nearby.
The local butchers E T Jones won the Welsh Champion Butcher award in 2007. E T Jones is a family run business that owes it's success to hard work and the policy of providing all local produce. Indeed all the beef and lamb comes from an area within 15 miles of Bodedern and the abattoir is located at the back of the shop. The son's and daughter Ifan, Richard, and Elen run the front of shop with mother doing the books in the back office. Contact E.T. Jones Tel: 01407 740257. Visit Bodedern on the first Saturday in May for the start of a weeks festival that celebrates St Edern the patron of the village Church.
