The building is the South Wales regional office for the Welsh Assembly Government, and it was officially opened by the Rt. Hon. Rhodri Morgan, First Minister for Wales on 30 November 2006. (Note that although it is but a 30 minute drive from Cardiff it was built several years before the Aberystwyth and Llandudno Junction regional offices ….jobs for the boyos, isnit! )
