Adventure Cardiff has established a strong reputation for watersports and multi activity uses at Cardiff Bay. Enthusiasts ranging from amateur to professional can join courses for groups or one-to-one tuition, in a safe and fun-filled environment. Water Activity Centre, Cardiff Bay: The Water Activity Centre, Cardiff Bay, is ideally situated in a purpose built facility in South Cardiff, on the edge of the River Taff. With our dedicated slipway and pontoons the water is a stones throw from the facility. From here we also have excellent links to the Taff Trail and the rest of Cardiff Bay, as well as rowing, canoeing and disabled water activities. Courses and Activities: Paddlesport- Canoeing and Kayaking is one of the most adventurous watersports, offering excitement and challenges for all participants. Thanks to our unique position, Adventure Cardiff offers the ideal venue for the beginner, on the edge of sheltered water at the Water Activity Centre in Cardiff Bay. For the more advanced paddler, we are suitably located for Sea and White Water Rafting, White Water Canoeing and Kayaking. Rowing- Rowing and sculling (which is similar to rowing but each crew member uses two oars, or ‘blades’, rather than one) are sports that have been participated in for centuries. They have become increasingly popular with both adults and children, from a wide spectrum of backgrounds. Sailing- Dinghy sailing can be anything from a gentle cruise to high speed planing. Whatever you choose, your sailing course with us will be matched to your ability and be in the appropriate craft for your size and experience. Windsurfing- Windsurfing is one of the most exhilarating watersports. It is an exciting, challenging sport. We are a RYA Training Centre and offer courses for both adults and children. Powerboating- The National Powerboat Scheme is for those who use powerboats for leisure or work. It consists of a series of practical courses which will increase your knowledge and confidence and could help you progress to the RYA/MCA Certificates of Competence, recognised by maritime authorities worldwide. Multi Activity- Multi Activity Courses are specifically designed to cater for both dry and wet weather; demonstrating all Adventure Cardiff has to offer. We have a range of activities that are a mixture of activities - from paddlesports and sailing, mountain biking and indoor climbing to rafting and indoor rowing. This can be structured for you or can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Schools and Colleges- Adventure Cardiff provides educational activities for schools and young people from a single activity to week long programmes. Whether it’s an end of school term activity day, Duke of Edinburgh award, alternative curriculum based study or part of Key Skills Development, we offer an extensive range of schools programmes and activities. Corporate- Access to training and development in a controlled environment! Outdoor training with motivated and experienced instructors is highly effective when looking at staff development and is used by many of today’s leading organisations. Adventure Cardiff delivers corporate benefits on numerous levels; with fully qualified instructors. Other Courses- Our Centre at Cardiff offers not only the challenge of learning a new activity, but also assist personal and overall development. Groups gain confidence with courses tailored to meet the needs of all participants, from basic to advanced, single sex and mixed, on both the water and the land. Please contact the centre for more detailed information. ....
