. Trawsfynydd Gwynedd Wales
Trawsfynydd Lake is in the heart of Snowdonia in Gwynedd North West Wales. The walk, as its name suggests, leads round the lake. It starts close to the Power Station but don't let this big ugly building put you off what is a great walk. There are grand views of the Moelwyn mountains above Blaenau Ffestiniog and of the the Arenigs toward Bala. Its a gorgeous landscape with broad leaf trees and open countryside and of course the lake itself. The return section of the walk leads through the village of Trawsfynydd with the old church of St Madryn, and the birthplace of the famous Welsh poet Hedd Wyn.
