The Ammanford Miners' Theatre now features in the County Council's Arts Strategies as one of three town theatres that it seeks to ensure has provision for professional management, responsive and balanced programming and as a focus for performance presentation in both languages within their catchment area. The Theatre Trust has worked at building a sessional use of the premises for activities such as movement and cardiac rehabilitation, youth theatre, cinema line dancing etc; as well as presenting amateur and professional musical and theatre productions. The Trust was also successful in drawing down project support from several sources. Carmarthenshire Theatres have established a successful Free Theatre Shuttle Bus service, which picks up customers en-route from Llanelli, Ammanford or Carmarthen and drops them off at the relevant venue, and returns the customer to where they were picked up after the performance.....
