Llanberis Pass is a mountain pass that cuts through the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales. It enables transport to Llanberis from Betws y Coed and Capel Curig (via the A4086 and A5) in the west, and from Beddgelert and Porthmadog in the south (via the A498). The strategic importance of the pass is evidenced by Dolbadarn Castle at the northern end of the pass. Today the pass is popular with both walkers and rock climbers who wish to take up the challenge of Mount Snowdon the highest mountain in both England and Wales.....
