The Caernarfon Victoria Dock Marina is located in the shadow of Caernarfon Castle, one of Wales' most magnificent monuments. Victoria Dock Marina was opened in the Spring of 1997 and the following facilities are available: 46 pontoon berths with electricity and fresh water. A flap gate which maintains a minimum depth of 2 metres in the dock. Access is approximately 3 hours either side of High Water. Visitors' pontoon with public access. Access to private berths is via a card operated security gate. A limited number of trolleys are available at the base of the access ramp. Sewage pump out facilities. SOS stations are strategically located around the pontoons. A listening watch is maintained on VHF Channel 80 whilst the dock is open. The dock is ideally situated close to the town.
Operating hours are 0700 to 2300 during the summer and during daylight hours in the winter.
Caernarfon Harbour Trust is the authority responsible for the control of navigation and the provision and maintenance of navigational aids in the area from Britannia Bridge to Caernarfon Bay. It is also the competent Harbour Authority responsible for the provision of pilotage throughout the Menai Strait.
The Trust provides and maintains a number of moorings in the River Seiont and Port Dinorwic. Additionally, it also serves as manager for Victoria Dock Marina, Caernarfon.
