The Marquess of Anglesey column stands near the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll in south east Anglesey. Completed two years after the battle of Waterloo in 1815, the statue was then added in 1860 in commemoration of the first Marquess of Anglesey, Henry William Paget. Unlike Nelson's Column, visitors can climb to the top of the column to take in the magnificent views of Anglesey and the Menai Strait.....
