Tredegar House is one of the best examples of a 17th century Charles II mansion in Britain. The earliest surviving part of the building dates back to the early 1500’s. Visitors can discover what life was like for those who lived above and below stairs by touring the impressive state rooms and the intriguing servants’ quarters. Tredegar House Country Park is a beautiful 90 acre park in Newport South Wales. The park is just two miles west of Newport city centre. Tredegar House is host to several events throughout the year including Shakespearean performances and the St Mellons Agricultural Show. The Park and Woodland Walk are open all year from 9.00am to dusk. The House is open from Easter to the end of September, with House tours from Wednesday - Sunday. ....
