Maen Gwenonwy is a rocky outcrop on the south coast of the Llyn Peninsula in North West Wales. It sits between Aberdaron Bay and Porth Ysgo and is connected to the land by a shingle tombolo. The Llyn Coastal Path between Aberdaron and Llanfaelrhys passes close to Maen Gwenonwy. Maen Gwenonwy is named in memory of King Arthur's sister, Gwenonwy, for many believe King Arthur to have been buried nearby on Bardsey Island, the top of which can just be seen above the distant cliff tops.....
