Prestatyn beach is located between Rhyl and Talacre on the north Wales coast in Denbighshire, North Wales. There are three beaches at Prestatyn having excellent water quality (2007) the Central beach, the Frith and the Barkby beach. The fourth beach the Gronant Dunes beach has good water quality (2007). Central Beach is a wide north facing sandy beach interpersed with rock groynes that, with the Barkby and the Frith beaches, stretches for 5 miles. Prestatyn Central beach is also popular for water sports including windsurfing and sailing. The promenade is a popular area for cycling and for walking with the North Wales Cycle Trail and the Offa's Dyke Path both converging on the seafront. More leisurely activities are catered for with a leisure centre and amusement arcades nearby. Nature lovers will appreciate a local wildlife reserve that includes protection for endangered species. Facilities include toilets with disabled access,a lost child centre and a leisure centre.....
