Porthcawl Rest Bay beach is located between Porthcawl Point and Port Talbot in Bridgend County, South Wales. There are four beaches around porthcawl including three with excellent water quality (2007) Rest Bay, Sandy Bay and Trecco Bay. Rest Bay is a long stretch of a beach with golden sands and rock pools backed by low cliffs. It faces south west and is a favourite with surfers due to the large waves coming off the Atlantic Ocean. The beach with it's excellent water quality (2007) is also popular for swimming, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing with zoning for the different beach activities. Facilities include toilets with disabled access, a first aid post and lost child centre, café and a slipway for launching small boats.....
