September 26th 2007 The Daily Post must be congratulated for another
successful campaign. After watching the S4C live debate about the
Welsh National Health Service from the Welsh Assembly this Wednesday
afternoon I noted that the Daily Post was mentioned several times by
Assembly Members. They were referring of course to the reports in the
Daily Post concerning the refusal by the Health Commission Wales to pay
for life saving treatment for Welsh patients.
The debate concluded with the Health Minister
Edwina Hart ordering a review of the Health Commission Wales.
It was also reported during the debate that
the Health Commission had now reversed it's decision as regards the latest
patient championed by the Daily Post and that Mr Tellett-Davies
would now receive the treatment necessary.
Once again congratulations to the Daily
Post and long live the free press.
