The Newport Lodge Hotel is the perfect small owner-operated, full service hotel for business and private guests.
It is situated high on the hill just above Brynglas Tunnel on the M4, just off junction 26. A full cooked breakfast is available in the hotel's restaurant. Dinner is served in the hotel's bistro Monday to Thursday evenings (limited availability on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings due to functions etc).
If you wish to dine on any of these nights then please contact the hotel directly and they will be happy to arrange something for you. You can have a relaxing drink in the adjacent bar while your order is taken.
Directions from West (Cardiff) on m4 - On your approach to Junction 26, keep in the right hand lane as you come down the slip road, take the turn off at Junction 26, signed Newport a4051, down to island under the m4. Turn right at the island onto Malpas Road, follow sign for Newport, approximately half a mile down Malpas Road turn left onto Brynglas Road, go up the hill and the hotel is set back off the road on the left. Directions from East (Severn Bridge) on m4 - As you approach Junction 25 get into the middle lane and follow the signs for Cardiff, when you have passed Junctions 25 and 25a this will put you in the left hand lane for your approach to Brynglas Tunnel. Junction 26 is immediately after you exit the tunnel. At the island, under the motorway, turn left onto Malpas Road sign posted Newport a4051, approximately half a mile down Malpas Road turn left, at the box junction, onto Brynglas Road, go up the hill and the hotel is set back off the road on the left. Directions from Newport Town Centre - From the main traffic island - next to Newport Castle - follow the sign for M4 Caerleon, Cwmbran, onto the dual carriageway and go under the railway bridge to the large traffic island under the flyover. At the island take second turn off (keep Wickes/Aldi on your left) coming off at this exit, keep in the left hand lane following the signs for Cardiff M4 West A 4051 on to the Malpas Road. Follow the Malpas Road for approximately one mile, you will go through a pedestrian crossing and traffic lights, take the first turn to the right, past the lights, onto Brynglas Road. Go up the hill and the hotel is set back off the road on the left.
