Lying adjacent to Lord Bath’s magnificent Longleat Estate, this detached 19th-century holiday cottage with large garden is full of character and enjoys glorious views over the quintessentially English village of Horningsham. A few minutes’ walk from the cottage is the dramatic ‘mile drive’ leading down to Longleat House and the surrounding parkland/lakes. Longleat House, garden, safari park and other attractions are open for most of the year but visitors should check opening times, prices and conditions of entry before booking. There are many footpaths and walks in the area. Frome and Warminster provide a good range of shops and amenities. Other attractions in the area include Bath, Salisbury, Wells, Stourhead, Cheddar and Stonehenge. Shop 2 miles, pub 200 yards.
