This delightful, spacious, detached holiday house is presented beautifully and nestles on the edge of Weare Giffard, one of Devon’s most picturesque villages which sits peacefully on the banks of the River Torridge. Enjoy a lazy breakfast on the large balcony along the front of the house, which takes in the glorious views across the wooded valley, and in the evening the large terraced gardens at the rear are the perfect spot to relax and enjoy an al fresco supper. Just a short walk from the excellent village inn, which serves good pub food, it is the ideal choice for a ‘get away from it all’ holiday. The famous Tarka Trail is located near to the property and offers good walking and cycling with bike hire available nearby. Weare Giffard is just a short drive from the pretty port town of Bideford, with many lovely beaches close by, including the wide golden sandy beach of Westward Ho! popular with surfers. Take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly, Hartland, Appledore and Instow. Just 2 miles away is the Civil War heritage town of Torrington, with its popular theatre and home of Dartington Crystal, where visitors can even have a go at glass blowing. This is a fantastic holiday choice with breathtaking coastal and country walking, sandy beaches, hidden coves, fishing, horse-riding and golf all available locally. For family fun, The Big Sheep and the Milky Way Adventure Parks are close by. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
