Situated in the heart of rolling Devonshire countryside, Ashcombe nestles in a peaceful valley close to the seaside resorts of Dawlish and Torquay and the stunning beaches at Teignmouth. Ashcombe’s superbly appointed holiday properties all have wonderful views over the hills and woodlands of the 2,500-acre agricultural estate, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Careful landscaping has provided patios and lawns for both morning and afternoon sun and the properties border a pretty, grassed courtyard with a central fountain. There is an indoor heated swimming pool, complete with changing rooms, at Woodhouse Farm. There is a multitude of picturesque villages with historic inns and curiosity shops, and always just around the corner lies somewhere to relax, and indulge in a delicious Devon cream tea! The sandy beaches at Dawlish and Teignmouth are a delight, and within a stone’s throw is the drama of Dartmoor, a great wilderness of extremes, barren in some areas, lush in others, famous for its rocky tors and wild ponies.
