This lovely spacious detached Georgian house with six bedrooms, three bathrooms and three living rooms has an open fire and a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings. There is a large kitchen and a delightful paved garden area with shrubs and trees, ideal for chilling out with a glass of wine. Situated on a main road, the holiday property is situated near the pretty market town of Ellesmere with numerous Georgian and half-timbered buildings surrounding the medieval streets with shops selling antiques, crafts and gifts, and many other wares. The weekly market still runs since it was granted its charter in 1221 by Henry III. Ellesmere is famous for its Mere, a stretch of water well known for its recreational facilities. Further afield are the towns of Whitchurch, Oswestry, Wrexham and Shrewsbury, all excellent for shopping and with a variety of restaurants and cafes. Just a short drive away are the National Trust properties of Chirk Castle, home to the Myddelton family for 400 years, and Erddig, an evocative stately home which provides a fascinating view of life below stairs. Walkers are well catered for with a number of footpaths in the area. Shop and pub 3½ miles.
